Welcome to the Playa La Jolla Beach Club! As your friends and
neighbors, the Design and Review Committee is here to help guide you through
your building process. Those of us who have already built our homes have
been the beneficiaries of the early pioneers who have helped us to avoid
mistakes and achieve the home of our dreams. It is our goal to provide you
with the same assistance!
Before you make hard and fast commitments to architects or builders, we
strongly encourage you to carefully read the
Internal Regulations,
especially the Architectural Rules governing what can and cannot be built in our
community. These Rules and Regulations include, but are not limited to:
The size and design of your building
Number of living units
Building height and setback restrictions
Perimeter walls
Public access
Generators and noise abatement requirements
Lighting
Materials and Colors
Septic
Parking
Lot # & Identification
Here's a step-by-step plan to help you with your building process:
- Carefully check out the rules and regulations to be sure your building is
in compliance. If you have questions about meeting the required
standards, the sooner you involved the Design and Review Committee, the
better!
- When you believe your building meets the rules and regulations, please
submit the following to the Design and Review Committee:
- Three (3) complete sets of "C" scale plans or larger
- If the plans are in Spanish, please include an English conversion chart
for all symbols used.
- Check for the $2,000 development fee - payable to "Playa La Jolla Beach
Club"
- Check for the refundable $1,000 clean-up deposit, also payable to "Playa
La Jolla Beach Club"
- Plan on 14-21 days for approval and/or comments to be returned to you.
